The South Fish Creek Complex is a unique and exciting project that brings together key community organizations in the development of a recreation, education, and library facility for the community. Located in the Shawnessy Town Centre, the complex primarily serves Calgarians residing south of Fish Creek Provincial Park.
The facility includes the Bishop O'Byrne Catholic senior high school, a Calgary Public library, four ice arenas, a community gymnasium,YMCA and several tenants that compliment our core services.
Having all of the various facilities "under one roof" allows one-stop shopping for all your recreation, education and library needs. It is a huge leap forward in bringing together agencies that serve the same community and have the same goals for community development.
The Alliance Partners involved in the operation of the South Fish Creek Complex are The City of Calgary, Calgary Public Library, South Fish Creek Recreation Association, Calgary Roman Catholic Separate School District No. 1, and YMCA Calgary. The average daily visitation to the Complex is more than 6,000 people.

South Fish Creek Recreation Association is very happy to have the opportunity to work with so many groups and associations. We consider our relationships with these groups as more than just business. We would like to think of these relationships as partners!
